GOAL: $200,000

ArtsCentric is excited to launch its first-ever Capital Campaign to support our move into our very own theater home!

Your support will assist in the build-out of our brand new state-of-the-art

facility in the Remington community of Baltimore, Maryland. It will also provide production, office, and other equipment and technology, and assist us increasing community visibility and outreach that will increase the sustainability of the organization.

On October 1, 2019 we will take residence in our new home at 2600 N. Howard Street in space adjacent to Young Audiences of Maryland/Arts for Learning.

When we think of home, we think of an African-American operated performance arts organization that re-examines traditional roles in the arts, advances original stories of specific cultures, fosters educational advancement, and builds community in ITS OWN SPACE!

Total Campaign Goal: $200,000

About Our New Space

  • 1,500 square foot, fully convertible, black box theater

  • seating for 125

  • mezzanine administrative office and tech booth

  • multi-stall non-gender conforming restrooms

  • greenroom

  • dressing rooms

  • cast bathroom with shower

  • workshop with loading dock

  • corner location with street visibility

In 2011, Seawall Development transformed the well known Tire Shop property at 2600 N. Howard Street (a designated local landmark on the National Register of Historic Places), into a performance venue and restaurant.

As part of our 2019 strategic reorganization plan, ArtsCentric sought out more permanent space  - a home.  We believe that with key improvements, this will be the perfect space for us to realize our vision, grow our community impact, and expand our performances and programming over the next many years.

In addition to our mainstage productions, with the opening of an adjacent restaurant and the residency of ArtsCentric, we envision a Cultural Arts Center that will become a gathering spot for events and conversations that support the arts, tackle persistent issues in our communities, and create opportunities to engage with live music and showcase local artists.

A permanent home will give us the stability necessary to best serve the community, strive toward our mission, and expand opportunities for new programming.
